The BBTS Freestyle program focuses on developing strong skiers and skilled competitors in mogul, aerials, and freeride (Slopestyle, Halfpipe and Big Air). The Freestyle team trains in preparation for competition at all levels of USSA, FIS, Freeride Open and elite international competitions.

The freestyle program is nationally recognized as one of the finest in the country winning USSA Freestyle Program of the Year in 1999 and 2004. More recently, the Freestyle Program landed a Gold Medal in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, with Hannah Kearney winning Womens' Moguls! Jamie Crane-Mauzy also won gold at the 2010 World Junior Olympic in slopestyle! Over the years, BBTS has placed over 50 alumni on the US Freestyle Team.

Nick Preston, the WVBBTS Freestyle Program Director, was awarded the USSA Russell Wilder Award for his outstanding effort in focusing the interests of American youth on the sports of skiing or snowboarding.
