J1/2 Men Dominate Sugarloaf Super Gs

Sugarloaf, ME -- WVBBTS/WVA alpine skier Brennan Smith led the way for the J1/2 men with a win at the Sugarloaf Eastern Cup Super G with 6 of his teammates right behind him in the top 16!

In the first of two Super Gs, Smith placed 4th with WVA PG Prescott McLaughlin behind him in 5th by 4/10 of a second. Waterville Valley Academy and New Hampton School athlete Stephen Bouzianis, continued his excellent skiing this season with a 12th. Other notable finishes for the first race were Taber Englekin in 18th, Jeremy Epstein in 24th, and Michael Sampson in 26th.

In the second Super G of the day, Smith topped the field, placing 1st by almost 2 seconds. Waterville Valley Academy and BBTS placed 6 more skiers in the top 16, finishing a dominating day of racing with McLaughlin in 7th, Engelkin in 10th, Epstein in 11th, Garrett Quimby in 15th, Bouzianis in 16th and AJ Clemens in 27th.
