Waterville Valley, NH-- WVA alpine skier Annie D'Elia placed second in the Macomber Cup GS with teammate Katie Benjamin joining her on the podium in 3rd. Also finishing int he top ten for the women were Caroline Winslow in 6th and Lindsay Todaro in 8th.
Andrew Howe led the WVA/BBTS men with a 4th place finish, just missing the podium by two tenths of a second. Sabri Eyuboglu and Blake Linehan tied in 13th place, Dakota Thompson finished in 17th with Darnell Holmes right behind him in 18th.
The men and women continued the Macomber Cup series with a Slalom at Proctor on February 2nd. Katie Benjamin led the way for the girls, finishing in 7th. Carley Antonioli placed 8th, Annie D'Elia 15th, Tegan Mosenthal 16th, and Payton Spencer 20th. For the men, Alexander Katz finished in 11th and Blake Linehan finished in 18th.
The Macomber Cup wraps up on February 12th with a Slalom at Pats Peak. Annie D'Elia current leads the series with Katie Benjamin in 4th and four other WVA/BBTS women in the top ten.
