Mount Sunapee, NH-- WVA/BBTS J3 alpine skier Lauren Barta won both races for the ladies and Zachary Godwin won the second race for the men at the NHARA Regional Super G races at Mount Sunapee.
In the Super G races for the ladies, Barta won the first race with a time of 58.47 with teammates Kelsie Grant in 9th, Anna Foley in 12th, Ashley Houser in 16th, Tess Coutu in 18th and Risa Mosenthal in 20th. In the second race, Barta again found herself in 1st place by more than one second. Grant placed 7th, Foley 10th, Houser 12th Coutu 19th and Jillian Salvucci pleaced 20th.
Godwin led the WVA/BBTS J3 men in the first Super G placing 2nd. Joining him on the podium in 3rd was AJ Barry. Elijah Peake placed 8th, Christopher Bertram 10th, Nick Lacasse 15th and Dougie Deluca placed 19th. Godwin continued his excellent skiing for the day finishing in first place by the narrow margin of eight hundredths of a second. Peake placed 5th, Bertram 6th, Barry 8th, Deluca in 19th and Lacasse in 20th.
The WVA/BBTS regional racers will continue in their quest for a spot to Eastern Junior Championships on February 12th at the Wildcat Slalom.
