Okemo, VT-- Waterville Valley Academy freerider Jessica Breda, finished January 2012 with two wins in two slopestyle competitions at Okemo Mountain.
The WVA and BBTS freeriders traveled to Okemo Mountain, Vermont on Janurary 21st for the East Free Tour Vermont Open. In the first of two slopestyle events, Breda led the way for the ladies winning with a score of 56.3 in the best of two runs format. Melanie Harding skied her way to 5th place. In the men's first event, Chase Mohrman was 2nd, edged out of first by only 2 points. Joshua Messier ended up in 5th, John Brown 9th, Tyler Mega 11th, Sawyer Sellingham 12th and Tim Ryan 17th.
Breda found herself atop the podium again, at the end of the days second slopestyle event, winning by almost 10 points. Fellow teammate, Harding improved to 4th place. Mohrman led the way again for the men, finishing in 1st, with Mega in 2nd, Ryan in 11th, Sellingham in 17th and Brown in 19th ending a long day for the freeriders.
