It has been an exciting snowsports season here at WVBBTS! Peter Stokloza, WVBBTS
CEO and Executive Director shared with us, “BBTS was so proud to have been selected
this season by the US Ski and Snowboard Association to host the Freestyle Junior
Olympics [top 275 youth freestylers in the country], the NORAM Cup Finals [top 160+
US and Canadian National Team alpine racers competing just below the World Cup level
along with other qualifying US and international racers] and the J4 Alpine Junior
Olympics aka Future Stars [the top 160 eleven and twelve year old male and female
alpine racers from up and down the east coast]. These Waterville Valley based
championship competitions provided some exciting results for current and alumni
WVBBTS athletes.”
WVBBTS athletes Jamie Crane-Mauzy and Scott Nelson reigned as Freestyle Junior
Olympics Overall Champions. Recent WVBBTS alumni Maddie Packard and Abigail
Fucigna qualified to compete at NORAM Cup Finals here in Waterville with Abigail
taking 3rd place in the GS Junior category. WVBBTS athletes AJ Barry, Pate
Campbell, Jill Salvucci and Ryan Schmidt qualified to compete in J4 Future Stars with

qualifying for the CANAMS, a championship event held at Sugarloaf for the top 120
eleven and twelve year old male and female alpine racers from the Eastern US and
Eastern Canada.
“These home town championship results just scratched the surface of a season filled with
major accomplishments for WVBBTS current and alumni athletes, individually and as a
