The WVBBTS Freeskiing program focuses on developing strong skiers and skilled competitors in Slopestyle, Big Air, and Halfpipe. These teams train in preparation for all levels of Freeskiing competition. Weekend Freeskiers 15+ should sign up for the FS “A”s program. Weekend Freeskiers 15 and under should sign up for FS Devo

There are two program seasons for freestyle Winter Seasonal Freeski Program and Summer Seasonal Freeski Program. More information about each program and their dates are located in the Freeski Menu.

Dan Shuffleton// Freeski Program Director
Dan brings more than 15 years of Freeski and acrobatic training experience to WVBBTS. He is a Level 400 certified Aerial coach. He has worked with athletes who have appeared on both the national and international freeskiing scene. In 2014, USSA named Dan the U.S. Freeskiing Domestic Coach of Year.
Matthew Crowe// Freeski Head Coach
Matt has been a full-time coach for WVBBTS/WVA since 2016 and also acts as a dorm parent at WVA. Matts was a WVA athlete himself where he competed and trained with Coach Dan Shuffleton. Matt is passionate about physical training and is a certified personal training and is often seen leading work-outs with athletes. In his free time, you can catch Matt cycling all over NH.
