The Mitey Mites program is a pre-competition ski development experience designed for children ages 5–7 (as of December 31). This program introduces young skiers to both alpine and freestyle skiing in a safe, supportive, and fun environment, preparing them to enter the competitive track of their choice.
New participants should be comfortable skiing green and blue trails at a level that allows them to keep up with a group. At the start of the season, all children are evaluated and placed in age-and skill-appropriate groups.
Building a lifelong love of skiing and snow sports
Developing strong fundamentals through age-appropriate coaching
Encouraging teamwork, sportsmanship, independence, and responsibility
Creating social connections and fostering healthy competition in a fun setting
Mitey Mites are introduced to racing and freestyle through local interclub “competitions” designed with an emphasis on fun and teamwork. Over the season, athletes will experience alpine races, mogul competitions, and even “Big Air” events, all with the goal of skill development and enjoyment
WVABBTS Mitey Mites runs every Saturday & Sunday from December through March. The program also includes the Christmas Holiday period and February break.
